Editorial

By Richard Scheib

This month we have a new editor. Andrew has been suffering some mild after-effects from his latest regeneration and so has handed over the reigns to yours truly.

Yours truly is unfortunately being forced to eat a number of his own words. After bemoaning to Andrew how he was getting bored around fandom and wished he had something more to do, he receives a call, "Hello, you're editing the latest issue of TSV." And so while making a meal of the words `something more to do' yours truly then goes and puts his foot in it by thinking he is paying TSV a compliment by saying that he thinks it is the best fan publication in NZ (of course you have yet to see `The Twilight Zine', publication of the Horror Assoc. of NZ, of which yours truly is the Editor-Thing. Commercial plug time. First issue out in December, you can order by writing to HANZ at the same PO Box no as NZDWFC), and then being told "Good, I'm glad you think so, and you're going to do your best to keep it that way, so no cut and paste jobs, no employing of other people on typewriters, you're doing it all on word processor." So I would very much like you all to write in and tell me what a noble and grand thing I have done and what a wonderful person you think I am for spending two-and-a-half consecutive nights camped around at a friend's place tapping away at a keyboard from 10 pm until 6 am, of undoubtably spending the next week walking at a right angle with a back that feels like it has been used for a railroad track. Ah well...

Next issue, Andrew may be recovered from the convention/regeneration/one helluva of a hangover, and so normal transmission will hopefully be resumed.

And so, for now,

Your Kind, Long-suffering and Benevolent Fuhrer,
Richard Scheib

Executivorial

Good day. As Richard has pointed out above. I'm still recovering from my latest regeneration, making editing this 'zine just a little bit erratic. So, using my great intellect, I did what any good leader does, DELEGATE. Anyway, thanks Richard for all you did for this `zine, if it wasn't for you it might not have been published at all. I really appreciate the help. And best of luck with HANZ.

Anyway, thanks also to everyone that attended ConFederation, I'm sorry I didn't get much of a chance to talk to anyone, but as you probably noticed, I was fairly ill, as well as being hectic. It was certainly a memorable experience.

Just a little bit of business, this issue contains a lot of odd bits and pieces, mainly because Scott's just had Bursary Exams, I've been working my little butt off, and we haven't had a lot of time for the general running of the club. So, enjoy it as a little different from regular TSV. We also apologise for not getting `25 Years...' out as well. But what do you think we are, miracle workers?

`25 Years...' will hopefully go out sometime in December or early January. I'm going on holiday for a couple of weeks in December, so no guarantees, okay?

Well, that's all for now, I'll see the Christchurch members at the marathon,

Andrew R. Poulsen
