The Space MuseumA Collection of Doctor Who Oddities'D' is for Dalek... Every now and then, Doctor Who pops up in the oddest places and surprises you. It happened to me a few months ago, when I was flicking through a large-format children's art book, called Animalia, by Graeme Base (Viking Kestrel, 1986). Each page spread had a plethora of items whose names all began with the same letter of the alphabet. On the 'D' page, next to a donkey, a dam and a dodo, I discovered a Dalek and Doctor Who (the Tom Baker version). And before you ask, yes, I checked the other pages very thoroughly! This item appeared in TSV 22 (April 1991). | |
