On Prime: The End of the World

Episode 2: The End of the World - screens Thursday July 14 at 7.30pm

Rose and the Doctor are in the TARDIS and the Doctor asks her where she'd like to travel, backwards or forwards, on her first voyage through time? It is her choice. Rose suggests forward.

The Doctor dismisses the 22nd century - too boring. The new Roman Empire 12, 005 perhaps? "You think you're so impressive," Rose says. "I am impressive," the Doctor answers. "I know exactly where we'll go."

The TARDIS lands five billion years in the future - the day the Sun will expand. The day the Earth will die. It's welcome to the end of the world!

The richest and most powerful from around the universe have gathered on Platform One to watch the Sun swallow the Earth. Among them are Jabe, from the Forest of Cheem, Moxx of Balhoon, and Cassandra the last woman from Earth. One of the assembled rich and famous is a murderer and they are controlling mysterious deadly spiders who will take over Platform One.

This will be a fight to the death for the last of The Time Lords.
