Predictions

Here we give you your chance to tell others what you think is going to happen in Doctor Who's future.

Starting the ball rolling this issue, we have David Bishop of Auckland.

My predictions for the 1990s...

1. Ben Aaronovitch brings back the Sontarans for Season 27 but cannot finish his Battlefield novelisation until sometime in 1991...

2. A new companion will be introduced in the last two stories of Season 27, perhaps black and probably female...

3. At the end of Season 27 the Seventh Doctor dies heroically saving the Earth and Gallifrey...

4. For Season 28 the BBC will try to cut the series back to eight episodes a time...

5. A New Zealander gets a Doctor Who script or novelisation credit by 1992...

Hmmm, fascinating thoughts, David. However, what about the rumour that Season 27 will consist of 26 episodes again? Surely if this happens they wouldn't try to drag it back again (of course, it does all depend on ratings). And do you have any idea who the New Zealander might be?
