The format is simple: the ending of the episode is given by the page
number, followed by a brief quotation in italics to identify the
point on the page at which the cliff-hanger occurs, unless it corresponds
exactly to the end of a chapter, in which case only the chapter number
is cited. If the cliff-hanger scene does not appear in the novelisation,
the page number closest to the point at which it would have appeared in
the book is noted, with a brief description of the 'missing' scene given
in brackets.
It was common for some Sixties era stories to end each adventure with
a cliff-hanger leading into the next story. In most cases, this cross-over
between one story and the next features in the opening pages of the second
novelisation. The instances when this has occurred are noted.
