Copies of Timewyrm: Genesys arrived from the UK in time to present several reviews of the much-anticipated first New Adventures novel. The reaction was not overwhelmingly positive and two reviewers appeared to prefer Marc Platt's Battlefield novelisation. Alistair Hughes, then residing in the UK, provided an article on the making of his first cover illustration for In-Vision. Dunedin-based Warwick Gray visited Auckland on holiday, providing an opportunity to plan forthcoming TSV cover illustrations. Gray's three previous covers had been based on the television stories repeating on TVNZ, but at this point it decided to veer away from this and continue with a ‘classic story from each Doctor's era’ theme, so that ultimately all seven Doctors would each feature on a consecutive cover.
