Alistair Hughes submitted a Warriors of the Deep illustration for the cover to support the featured video review, but at the same time sent in a picture of the TV movie TARDIS console room, which he'd drawn for his own interest. After some deliberation, the editors decided to place the Warriors illustration on the back cover, so that the more eye-catching TARDIS picture could go on the front. A lot of advance planning went into this issue, with writers being contacted months in advance and invited to review videos for a New Zealand re-launch of a selection of older titles. Home by the Sea by David Ronayne and Chris Girdler was the comic strip, and Peter Adamson contributed Time's Chump, a thought-provoking article that received praise from many readers. Nigel Windsor interviewed Chris Loates, who worked behind the scenes on the series in a minor role. Jon Preddle contributed a Discontinuity Guide-style analysis of the TV movie, and Paul Scoones wrote an annotated guide to Happy Endings with invaluable assistance via email from Paul Cornell. The issue was a mammoth 108 pages long - the longest ever and a nightmare to staple!
