Doctor Who - Inside the Tardis will travel to New Zealand in August 2005. Colin Baker (The Sixth Doctor and Sylvester McCoy (The Seventh Doctor will join Jon Pertwee's (The Third Doctor) companion Katy Manning (Jo Grant) on stage where they will share their experiences and reveal some of the secrets of the phenomenal 42 year-old BBC show.

Writer, performer and huge Doctor Who fan, Tim Ferguson will host this live theatrical event. Audiences will travel through time with the original Time Lords, view classic BBC footage and hear insider's stories from one of the world's greatest TV shows.

The second half of the show will give the audience the chance to ask the performers questions about their own personal experiences in a time warp.

Special moments from other Doctors, including Tom Baker, will be on show with a series of classic clips from their time in the series. Created by the BBC in association with McPherson Touring, this classic LIVE ON STAGE presentation is a once-only chance to be a part of the series.

Doctor Who - Inside the Tardis will be on in NZ at The Opera House Wellington on Friday 5 August at 8.00 pm and at The Civic, The Edge, Auckland on Saturday 6 August at 8.00pm

As part of the celebrations of the forthcoming Australian and NZ theatrical tour Doctor Who - Inside the Tardis one lucky audience member will get the chance to win a trip to the United Kingdom and go behind the scenes of the popular BBC television series Doctor Who.

At each of the twelve performances of Doctor Who - Inside the Tardis host Tim Ferguson will select one audience member to go into the draw to win this fantastic prize and get the chance to be flown to the UK to see what is really inside the Tardis, how the state-of-the-art special effects are created and personally meet Daleks, bug-eyed monsters and the tenth doctor, David Tennant.

To be in the draw to win the prize you must have purchased a ticket to Doctor Who - Inside the Tardis and must be able to travel to the United Kingdom between August and September 2005. The winner will be announced at the last show in Auckland New Zealand.

"This is a great prize for a die hard Doctor Who fan and there are only 12 performances, so the odds are pretty good," said host Tim Ferguson.

Colin Baker (The Sixth Doctor, 1984-86) Professionally trained as a solicitor before becoming an actor, Colin Baker's other acting credits include Great Expectations, The Edwardians and The Citadel. He also directed The Oz Trials at Liverpool Playhouse, The Mousetrap in Stockholm (in English!) and Bazaar and Rummage at The Duke of Cambridge.

Sylvester McCoy (The Seventh Doctor, 1987-89, 1996) As well as Doctor Who Sylvester McCoy has also had other stage, film and television credits to his name, including 'Selsdon' in Noises Off (West End, and National tour), The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe (RSC); Still Game (BBC), Hollyoaks (ITV) The Bill (ITV) Casualty (BBC) and Tom Jones (BBC).

Katy Manning (Jo Grant, 1971-73) Born in England, daughter of writer J.L. Manning O.B.E., Katy trained as a dancer then attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her long TV career began in John Braines groundbreaking series Man At The Top and continued with Armchair Theatre, Serendipity, Oliver Twist and three years with the late Jon Pertwee in Doctor Who.

Tim Ferguson (Presenter)
Tim Ferguson has more than 20 international festivals and a dozen television series under his belt. He hosted Network Ten's Big Brother - Insider show and also hosted the drive program on Radio 3AK. Tim was also the creator, co-producer, co-writer and actor in both 13-part series of the comedy-drama Shock Jock for TVI, which is currently screening on ABC TV, and achieved wide acclaim on The Comedy Channel in Britain.
