A couple of regular features made their debut with this issue. Peter Adamson's cartoon page was not planned from the outset as part of the regular content, but Peter has provided a page for every issue since. Jon Preddle's script-to-screen features were however planned from the outset. Jon had collected a number of scripts and video recordings which featured additional material from various episodes, and this formed the basis of a long-running series of articles, beginning with Dragonfire and covering most of the McCoy era along with a couple of stories from other eras. Two interviews appeared this issue; one with New Adventures author Gareth Roberts, and another with director Michael Hayes, who at the time had not been interviewed elsewhere. DWM later published an interview with Hayes in issue 223. Warwick Gray contributed the front cover.
