Reactions to Season 26 dominated this issue, with most reviewers giving the thumbs-up to what no one could have realised would be the last stories made for six years. The epic-length Fifth Doctor Era Survey Results article, which ended up being printed in four parts, commenced. Tegan was voted the best companion and The Five Doctors the best story. David Bishop's ratings article covered the Fifth Doctor's era this issue - somewhat bizarrely The Five Doctors was the lowest rated of the era! Warwick Gray took over as semi-regular TSV cover artist with the departure of Alistair Hughes, who departed for the UK in February (and didn't return until the end of 1994).
